Some tips for your climb
Look around on internet and see all the beautiful pictures people have posted. Look what they are wearing. I does not look very tropical all the time. High up the Rinjani it can be cold and windy. It can even rain. So don't go in your tanker top, shorts and flip-flops. We don't say you would not make it, but be well prepared and have more fun.
Good boots with a good profile are a start although many do well on their runners.
Bring warm clothes that you can pile up in layers.
The sun burns harder on the mountain. Protect yourself well.
Walking up the Rinjani is demanding, but let's not exaggerate. If you're fit you can do it and enjoy it. Whole families go up there.

- Sun block/lotion, hat/cap, sun glasses
- Insect repellent
- Camera
- Small towel
- 2 to 3 T-Shirts
- Long sleeve shirt
- Long trek pants/wind proof
- Windproof Jacket
- Light Rain Coat

- Swim suite (especially if you camp at the lake)
