To do the trek you need to have a basic level of fitness. The trek can be done in different ways with one or more overnight stays on the mountain. Although it may be very hot, up the mountain it can be very cold and there can be strong winds. You need to go with a guide/porter.

Treks start at Senaru (600m above sea level) and the destinations are the crater rim (2,670m), the summit (3,726m) and the crater lake (2008m).
Camping on the crater rim or at the lake.
You get picked up from your lodgings and transferred back.
Meals, camping gear and National Park permits included.
A porter carries all the heavy stuff, you carry a small backpack with your personal items.
2 days, 1 night: trek to the rim, camp and back the next day
3 days, 2 nights: day 1 to the rim, day 2 to the summit, then down to the crater lake and back up the rim for camp, day 3 descend
4 days, 3 nights: day 1 to the rim, day 2 to the lake and camp there, day 3 to the rim and camp, day 4 to the summit and descend
